Mehr Ayının 1-ci günü İranda Oxulların açılışı münasibıtilə bağlı Mədəni Piket 20 September 2008 Parliament Square 2 - 4 pm Azadlıq sevən Türk xalqı Mehr ayını 1-ci günü İranda okulların açılış günüdür, ama eyni halda bu gün, Qeyri-Fars uşaqlara Fars dilində icbari təhsilin təhmil olan gundür. Güney Azərbaycan Türk milləti çox dəhşətli bir vəziyyətdə öz yaşayışına idamə verir. Bir əsrə yaxındır ki İranda Türklər müxtəlif milli, siyasi, iqtisadi və mədəni tapdalanmaqa məruz qalmışdır.
Fars dilində icbari təhsil, Azərbaycan Türk millətin və başqa Qeyri-Fars millətləri asimilə edib və onlari farslaşmaq məcburiyyətində qoymuşdur. Keçən Səksən beş ildə, Fars dili İranda bir icbari və rəsmi diltək təhmil olaraq, Azərbaycan Türk dili qadağan olmuşdur. Beləliklə Fars Şovinistləri, Azərbaycan Türk-lərini ən əsasi haqlarından, yəni onları Ana dilində təhsil almaqdan məhrum etmişdir.
Mehr ayının 1-ci günü, İranda Fars dilində icbari təhsilə başlamaq günü, Türk öyrəncilərinə bir əcnəbi və işqalçı dilində təhsilə başlamaq günü sayılır. Biz Britaniyada yaşıyan Güney Azərbaycanlılar, İranda Azərbaycan Türk dilinin rəsmi olmaqını, Azərbaycan və digər Qeyri-Fars millətlərin milli-mədəni tapdalanmaqlarına son qoyulmaq istəyirik.
İranda Fars dilində icbari təhsil almaqın və Türk dilinin qadağan olmaqının əleyhinə, Böyük Britanıya Parlament qarşısında bir etiraz nümayişi geçiriləcəkdir. Bütün azadlıq sevən insanlardan bu Fars Şovinistinin əleyhinə tərtib verilən etiraz nümayişində iştirak etməklərini istəyirik.

Letter To the House of Common, and the House of Lords CC: BBC World Service, BBC Azerbaijani, BBC Persian, BBC Turkish, BBC Arabic and BBC Uzbek
Since the constitution revolution between 1905 and 1911 and seize of power by the dictator Reza-Khan (in the west known as Shah of Iran) in 1925, Non-Persian nations of Iran (Azerbaijanis, Kurds, Arabs, Baluchis, Turkmans) have been subject to oppression, untold and unheard atrocities, arbitrary discriminations and forceful assimilation. Non-Persian nations in Iran constitute more than 67% of Irans population and yet they are degraded to second class citizens and are deprived of their basic human rights. Any attempts to gain some rights are brutally dealt with by the Iranian regime. Non-Persian nations in Iran have no single school in their mother tongue and they are condemned to be educated in Farsi where the people whose mother tongue is Farsi, only form about 33% of the Iranian populations. This has been the case for almost about a century in Iran ruled by the Fascist and Chauvinist regimes. The story of the Non-Persian nations in Iran has never been told and their history never heard of both in the west and the east, even within Iran itself. In the past century, the Iranian regimes have fabricated a false history of Iran and by spending a considerable portion of countrys budgets, have tricked the world to believe that all the Iranians are of the Persian origin! They have even influenced most of the books written in the west on Iran, and yet Iran is a Multi-National country with Persians the second largest ethnic group after the Azerbaijanis. Non-Persian nations in Iran are banned (not by the countrys constitution) from education in their own mother language. They are not allowed to set up even a small private institution to learn how to read and write in their own mother language. They are forcefully kept illiterate in their own mother tongue and yet they each have inherited a rich and dynamic mother language which has been spoken for thousands of years. The 22nd of September ( 1st Mehr), is the schools opening day in Iran. It is the day that every child in the country should enjoy and feel proud of starting the school. In fact, it is the reverse for majority of children except for Persian children in the country of Iran. Non-Persian children in Iran will start education in a language very different from than their own language, and yet they will have to develop a new identity than their real one. They will be forced to begin accepting themselves as Persians as they start education in Farsi language. Non-Persian children will forcefully be made to learn and use different words and sentences for everything they have learnt since they were born. Non-Persian children will be punished for speaking their mother language in schools all around the country. We, the older generation of Non-Persians know how frightening the experience will be for them as we did experience it first hand when we started the school in Iran. Forceful assimilation, humiliation of the Non-Persians, punishment for being of a Non-Persian origin and a calculated cultural and linguistic genocide continue ignoring the most basic human rights in Iran. It Must Stop. A peacful demonstration has been organised by the South Azerbaijanis Association (SAA-UK), in front of the UK Parliament on Saturday the 20th September 2008, 2 - 4 pm, in order to raise the voice of South Azerbaijanis and other Non-Persian nations in Iran deprived of basic human rights in their own homelands. Yours sincerely SAA-UK, The Executive Committee ****************************************
The South Azerbaijanis human right activists took part in a pre-planned peaceful protest organised by South Azerbaijanis' Association (SAA-UK), to call an end to chauvinistic policies of Iranian regime towards Azerbaijanis and other Non-persian nations live in Iran. Delegates from South Azerbaijanis organisations participated in this demonstration which coincided with the start of new school year in Iran. The demonstration was held on Saturday 20th September 2008 in front of the UK Parliament for two hours from 2-4 pm. It was drawing attention towards basic human rights of Azerbaijanis and other Non-Persian nations of Iran whom are being oppressed by the Iranian regimes for almost a century, and are not allowed to educate and learn how to read and write in their mother language in their own homelands. A circulation that was distributed by the organisers was stating 22nd September is the schools opening day in Iran; a day which every child of the country should enjoy, but for non-Persian children it is different scenario. They will have to start learning a new language and will have to adopt to a new identity. Hence their punishment for being non-Persian will start. They will not be allowed to use their mother languages in schools... more
